If you’ve read either of my blogs, BRIDAL EDITOR or my mainstream fashion site: THE FASHION ACHE, you’ll know I have a (slightly out-of-control) penchant for Charlotte Mills shoes. If you do too, then BOY are you going to love this news…
Having kick-started her brand in the bridal sector (I suggest you head over to the site right now, credit card in hand) the inspirational shoe designer/total #GIRLBOSS has just launched her super cool ‘More Sugar’ RTW shoe collection for AW17. Having introduced a smaller RTW capsule line for SS16 – a sign of things to come – it’s pretty awesome to know that you can now wear Charlotte Mills every day, for any occasion (even if it’s just popping to the freezer aisle in your local supermarket). Plus, some of these beauts will definitely work for your bridal party (hello, bridesmaids) not to mention the hen party!
‘More Sugar’ launched at London Fashion Week this February 2017 and is inspired by Studio 54 and the 1970’s ‘It Girls’. The new line flaunts gorgeous metallics, candy-twist heels and straps, flirty ruffle details, a pair of pink glittery platforms that will send you into a shoe-inspired frenzy and a colour palette so fabulous you’ll want to have them all! Pop your maids in their favourite pair for the big day or bag yourself your own favourite for the hen party and dance the night away in Charlotte Mills…
As you might already know, Charlotte Mills’ bridal collection signature is a silver sixpence and leather sole embossed with the phrase “Something old, Something new, Something borrowed, Something blue and a silver sixpence in her shoe.” Happily, Charlotte has included the sixpence (but with a 18ct rose-gold plated twist) in the new RTW collection as it’s a symbol of luck and part of the label’s incredible identity.
