The process of finding ‘the one’ in dress terms can be pretty overwhelming. One minute you’ll be utterly euphoric as you fall into a frothy meringue of tulle trying on your first ever wedding dress – the next, you’re anxious: ‘it’s my second fitting, what if it doesn’t fit?’ But, panic NOT my bride-to-be, this is totally normal. I’ve certainly been there. I can remember my first dress fitting, the size I’d ordered was a little tight – mainly because it was a balmy summer day and my entire body seemed to have swelled up and I felt like I resembled a rather sweaty blancmange. I’d then left in a state of slight panic (read: total panic). When the second fitting came round, our usual British weather had returned and it was totally fine…
So, here’s seven emotions you should be potentially prepared for…
#1 A state of wild dress FRENZY
He’s popped the question! You’re going to have to buy a freakin’ WEDDING DRESS!!!!
#2 Anxiety…
When you enter your first bridal boutique and are faced with rails and rails of gowns that all appear to, at first, look the same…
#3 FEAR.
When your Mother suggests trying on an insanely large cake-topper of gown that will most-probably drown you in tulle…
#4 Confusion…
There are SO MANY OPTIONS…what if I don’t choose the right one?
#5 Total HYSTERIA…
When you’ve tried on 5000 dresses and still haven’t found the one…
#6 TOTAL ELATION…
…YOU’VE FOUND IT!!!!!
#7 LOVE.
Trust me when I say you’ll love this gown for ever…
