Er, brides? Have you heard? Achingly cool Australian bridal label, Grace Loves Lace has unveiled their latest bridal collection, La Bamba. Alongside 13 incredible new gowns, the label has also brought an EXCLUSIVE range of jewellery and accessories to the table too…

Renown for creating ‘The World’s Most Pinned Wedding Dress’ Grace Loves Lace always delivers on FRESH, modern bridal wear, and this latest collection is no different. As the first collection to land with the brand’s new Head of Design Rosie Keating on board, you’ll instantly be mesmerized by the glittering array of new designs. Working alongside Founder and Creative Director, Megan Ziems, prepare to dive headfirst into the duo’s sparkling array of bohemian-inspired looks.

Delight in fresh fabric combinations, including contemporary burnout silks designed in-house, glimmering metallic laces and the brand’s first silk gown capsule collection, all threaded with the spirit of Grace Loves Lace and their signature playful silhouettes.

“As the original disruptors, we feel it’s our duty to turn it up a notch – giving women the excitement and authenticity they deserve. La Bamba is truly ‘luxury you can dance in’ – high impact gowns that don’t sacrifice wearability. We wanted to create bling without the bling – gowns that shine and shimmer on the skin without heavy adornment and embellishment. We focused on the scale and placement of fabric to contour the body, and using stretch lace to flatter and highlight every curve.” Megan Ziems, Founder and Creative Director

Made to provide the modern woman with a highly diverse bridal offering, including everything from dynamic details to bias-cut Crepe de Chine gowns – which Ziems has been working on for years – and sassy silhouttes, this is a collection no bride will be able to resist. Alongside this, the brand has unveiled an elevated jewellery collection which includes irresistible ornate back pieces as well as the label’s first major range of hair accessories, all purposefully-designed to compliment the silk capsule line.

“It’s all about allowing our customer to tailor the gown to suit their unique style. For example, the back pieces are an avant-garde take on bridal jewellery – combining lustrous pearls and gold & silver hardware. They fall beautifully from our signature low-back styles,” explains Ziems.

“We’ve also stepped up the veil game – introducing exciting elements such as pearl beading, shimmer accents, soft colour and silk burnout. Traditionally, brides have had minimal choice when it comes to veils – deciding between a simple tulle or silk option. A selection of sheer-yet-shimmering socks and ruffled ankle accessories are elevated, romantic and fun too – encouraging creativity and individuality, we imagine our GLL woman might choose a long veil for added impact at the ceremony, before transforming her look from day to night using our chic silk scarves, a hair bun and a pair of anklets.”

“We are not driven by wholesale seasons or trends – we play by our own rules and let passion, authenticity and creativity lead the way.”

“We support ethical manufacturing and local production, and having an in-house team means we can innovate and pivot as we need. For example, the idea for our stunning new hair buns came about from a collection of off-cuts that we wanted to turn into something beautiful, covetable and wearable – rather than waste. We have always designed for the woman – not the ‘bride’. Our customer is really open to new ideas and eludes tradition – and La Bamba pushes the boundaries of bridal like never before.” Megan Ziems, Founder and Creative Director

Prices for the new collection start from £1,500 and will be available online here and at their London Showroom in Shoreditch.
