“I design gowns for the woman who wants to wear a gown that feels incredibly special, but is still comfortable, and most importantly she feels like herself while wearing it.” Alexandra Grecco
Celebrated for her enticingly modern and beautifully curated bridal collections, Alexandra Grecco (having launched her first bridal collection in 2014) continues to supply the industry with her ever-evolving designs and innate sense of aisle-worthy style. And, the designer’s latest collection, Botanica – with it’s botanical influence and wild heart – is quite something to behold…
The new 2021 line is inspired by flowers which, as the brand describes, “often bloom in the midst of wild and seemingly unfavourable surroundings. They offer the world their brilliance, while also uplifting spirits with their poise and unwavering presence. It’s the enduring nature of their captivating beauty that can offer us serenity when we need it most.”
“We are so thrilled to be releasing this collection. It’s been in development since before the pandemic hit so it feels extra special to have new beautiful pieces to put out in to the world right now. Most importantly, our team was able to make it all happen safely. I’m so grateful to everyone involved.” Alexandra Grecco
Alexandra Grecco’s important statement surrounding inclusivity:
“The past few seasons we have offered our retailers incentives when purchasing their shop samples in size 16 and up. Almost all of our retailers are small, independently owned shops, so we know financially it’s not always easy (especially after this crazy year) to bring on a range of sample sizes in the same gown, which is why we offer a discount to help make that a little easier. We recognise how important it is for our brides to be able to try on our gowns no matter their size and we’re thrilled that more of our shops are taking advantage of these incentives and bringing in a range of sizes into their shops.
All of our retailers will be receiving a range of swatches in different “nude” shades so that our brides can customise our gowns to match their skin tones on styles that have a nude base or lining. This is something we have always offered as a customisation, but we are now making it much more accessible and we are making sure our brides know this is something we offer.”
