“I’m a bit of an old romantic – A star is born, The photograph, The notebook, P.S I love you, Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Beverley Pile of PS With Love on her top five films to watch in lockdown
Prepare to dive deep into the treasure box that is PS With Love’s endless array of clay and porcelain hair pieces, pins and blooming bridal accessories. A world where trailing clusters of flowers wind their way around thick, French braids and flyaway curls, and brides’ glitter and take to the aisle in pearl-adorned crowns. Utilising only the highest quality materials, Beverley Pile of PS With Love has an innate sense of style and composition that every bride can’t fail to fall head-over-YSLs with. Working with her bridal clients, Beverley purposefully infuses her work with their individual style for something truly unique and individual to them. I caught up with Beverley to talk all things lockdown 3.0…

#1 We’ve just gone into Lockdown 3. In three words, describe how you are currently feeling…
No.1 “Hopeful.”
No.2 “Positive.”
No.3 “Creative.”
“I think with the role out of the vaccine we can start to feel that hopefully soon we will be able to get back to some sort of ‘normal’ whatever that may be.”
#2 Talk to us about your usual daily routine for your business and how this will change in lockdown…
“I get up at around 6.30am, grab a coffee and go for an early morning run followed by online PT which sets me up for the day. I am currently working from home rather than the studio which I find really hard so I need my run to get me focused for the day.”

#3 How will/does lockdown impact your business, and how can people (brides/the wedding industry) support you throughout?
“It’s definitely been an emotional rollercoaster! I had to close my studio when we first went into lockdown, I moved all of my consultations online, which has worked really well. I feel really lucky as all of my lovely brides still went ahead with their accessory orders, even though most of them have had to postpone their weddings. I really can’t thank them enough for being so supportive of my business.”
#4 Name three small businesses on Instagram you are supporting or would like to support more…
No.1 “@stormemakeupartist – who is not only an absolutely incredible HMUA but has also been so supportive throughout these uncertain times.”
No.2 “@felisitigreis – who creates the most luxurious handcrafted dream wedding dresses.”
No.3 “@rebbecaannedesigns – she really is the embroidered veil queen!”
#5 Favourite lockdown snack? Has this evolved from lockdown 1?
“Mmmmm it has to be a peanut carb killer grenade bar!! I literally can’t wait to have one with my coffee!”

#6 What’s your most recommended lockdown pick-me-up when you’re feeling down during lockdown?
“Donning my trainers, headphones and getting out into the fresh air for a run!! It really makes me focus and I love the freedom and headspace it gives me.”

#7 What’s the item you can now NEVER find in the supermarket (and consequently dreamt continuously about) during lockdown?
“My coconut latte….the first one I had after lockdown #1 was quite literally heaven in a coffee cup!”

#8 Name a dinner/meal or beverage choice you feel might bring someone joy to their lockdown life…
“I’ve acquired a love of aubergines…….aubergine moussaka with feta, spinach and mozzeralla is literally my fav!”

#9 Talk us through what’s new at your brand…
“I am always working on new ideas and styles and have some incredibly exciting projects underway for Spring 2021…watch this space!”
#10 What’s your lockdown outfit most days? Have you, say, developed an unhealthy attachment to the elasticated waists of your leggings like myself?
“I seem to be living in my gym gear although I do like to make the effort every now and then as it helps my mindset and keeps me focused.”

#11 What series have you now completed on Netflix/Amazon Prime etc.? Any recommendations?
“Oh gosh I must be the only person in the country that doesn’t have either of these….I do love a good drama though.”

#12 The person(s) you will hug first when social distancing is no longer in place?
“My Mum & my grandson, Finley.”
#13 An act of kindness towards you that you’ve really appreciated during lockdown?
“It has to be all the gorgeous messages I received from my lovely brides telling me how much they loved receiving their accessories, one of them said that receiving her accessory had put a little bit of sparkle and positivity back into her day…..so sweet.”

#14 For a little Instagram-escapism and positivity, what account would you recommend?
“I absolutely love scrolling through @amberandmuse_hochzeitsguide.”

#15 Name three things the lockdown has made you grateful for:
No.1 “Family and friends.”
No.2 “Health.”
No.3 “The little things.”

#16 Which restaurant will you dine at first once restrictions are lifted again?
“We have a lovely restaurant in the village @ranfieldsbrasserie who do the best Sunday roast.”

“I’m a bit of an old romantic – A star is born, The photograph, The notebook, P.S I love you, Breakfast at Tiffany’s.”
#18 What book would be top of your lockdown book list?
“Something lighthearted and fun, a romantic novel but to be honest I am more of a magazine girl and love nothing more than flicking through Homes & gardens, Vogue Living & any other glossy magazine I can get my hands on with a G&T in front of a warm cosy fire…..my ideal evening.”

#19 Name an odd purchase you’ve made during lockdown…
“I haven’t bought anything strange to be honest.”

#20 The best gift you received this festive period?
“That has to be my Dyson Airwrap…..It is amazing and I love it!!”
