Boutique Tour | The Wedding Club, Knightsbridge

If you haven’t heard of The Wedding Club, bride-to-be, then BOY are you going to need to add it to you ’boutiques-to-visit’ list…

With three stores located across the UK, The Wedding Club is known for its professional service, incredible reputation and amazing array of luxury designer bridal brands. As part of my newly-launched Boutique Tour (welcome to the Boutique Tour tab, bridal babe), I recently visited TWC’s Knightsbridge location – labelled as ‘The Luxury Edit’ out of the three stores – to give you a little spin around the store itself and provide you with a sense of what your bridal dress experience and appointment would be like…

Situated in one of London’s most gorgeous postcodes, TWC Knightsbridge promises to offer brides a truly luxurious appointment. The calming, beautifully serene space houses some of the industry’s most incredible gowns and international designer brands, including: Zuhair Murad, Carolina Herrera, Berta Couture, Naeem Khan, Reem Acra, Steven Khalil, Georges Hobeika, J’Aton Couture and J’Aton Valentini. They also stock accessories by the likes of Stephanie Browne and Steven Khalil, as well as the finest silk veils by Homa Bridal.

I caught up with Operations Manager, Mandi Visser Markham to chat further about TWC, The Club and why YOU should be booking in an appointment…

#1 Tell us a little more about the history of The Wedding Club. When did it first open? When did the other stores open?

The Wedding Club was established in Birmingham a little over 16 years ago and was based on the same beliefs of today: bringing exclusive brands and designs to the UK for discerning brides seeking quality and a unique style. We then opened the Knightsbridge store nearly five years ago followed by the youngest store in South Kensington which is celebrating its 1st year this month.”

#2 Tell us a little more about the designers you stock, what do each of these designers offer your brides?

“The collections that have been curated at TWC give each bride choice and a confidence in quality from timeless classics to off-the-runway trends. Each gown is made to order in a standard size for any personalizing to be made closer to the wedding. Typically, dresses take 6-9 months to complete but most of our designers offer Rush Orders to help each client.”

#3 What makes The Wedding Club different from other bridal boutiques? Why should brides be booking an appointment with you?

“We travel extensively and build strong relationships with each designer so we are able to deliver a product that quite often is only available at TWC in the UK or even Europe. This allows the bride to trust in the originality of each gown plus, our years of experience add to the quality of service given to each bride and her guests.”

#4 What’s important to The Wedding Club when it comes to the bridal appointment? How do you make brides feel special?

“We would have already enquired a little about the brides brief and her big day when the appointment is made. These notes are given to the stylist in advance so that when she arrives she is not a stranger to TWC. Quite often a few designs are prepared but, after an introduction to the collection we choose dresses together. A selection of drinks are available for our guests and the store is theirs for the allocated time-  we can even play a favourite playlist if requested!”

#5 Tell us a little more about The Club

“Each bride that visits TWC is part of The Club. This is an exclusive members club that grants access to events such as London Fashion Week to discounts on honeymoons or luxury experiences at other store like Jimmy Choo. There are levels of membership which increases with the level of the purchase so everyone feels rewarded and will remain part of The Club even after her wedding. “

#6 Do you hold events at the boutique that brides and their bridal party can attend?

“Yes, lots! Members will always be invited and joining the mailing list will also keep you up to date with the shows and events we enjoy hosting!”

#6 What’s NEW at The Wedding Club this 2018?

“Following our recent buying trips where separate teams went to New York and Barcelona we are confident that 2018 will be bringing brides more amazing designs to making The Wedding Club the ONLY place to visit!”

#7 And finally, how can brides get in touch? When do you suggest they get in touch (time-wise when it comes to the dress hunt)?

“Dresses take 6-9 months so allow enough time. Only start your search when you have a clear idea of styles and prices. We have three stores all with their own aesthetic and price points so speak to us about your brief/budget so we can help book you into the best store. Call us on 0207 581 0500 to book an appointment or simply have a chat with one of the amazing TWC stylists, they are all ready to help you find The Dress!”

Significantly, there has been a checked increment in the quantity of couples who are made a beeline for the sacrificial stone who wind up enlisting wedding organizers to help and help them in their arrangement for that huge, earth shattering day. wedding preparations
