Bridewalk Couture, a contemporary bridal label constructed and founded by celebrated, Romania-based designer, Mihaela Birceanu and her dedicated team of seamstresses, continues to cause waves in the bridal industry with the launch of their new 2021 collection, Lotus.
Constructed with the modern bride in mind, someone who, as Bridewalk describes, “stands out effortlessly just by walking into a room, stands by what she believes in and is kind and true to herself when things get tough”, it’s clear that the brand’s under-the-radar status is quickly dissolving as brides across the country – and beyond – fall for their exclusive creations. And, their latest offering to the bridal table – not to mention it’s aforementioned name, Lotus – effortlessly mirrors the brand’s struggles (as a small, independent designer atelier and equally, this year’s on-going challenges) and of course, their successes too.
“We’ve learnt to embrace the fact that we’re quite different, not driven by trends but by our own vision about a garment as a way of self-expression – where each detail tells a story about the person wearing it”, explains Bridewalk.
Prepare to dive into a treasure chest of elegantly modern silhouettes, handcrafted tulle blooms, ethereal bow straps and feminine corsets, all brought together with Bridewalk’s signature flourish. Fall hard for voluminous tulle skirts, contemporary asymmetric necklines and a sheer bodice where lace appliqués seems to grow magically across it.
