“With a baby I hardly get the chance to ever watch something in full anymore… haha! But, I have started watching the Tiger King.” Becca Hunton on her lockdown Netflix recommendation

Renowned for whipping up to-die-for bohemian bridal beauty looks, Becca Hunton is the hair and make-up expert every bride wants to have on-hand on the morning of their big day. I’ve previously referred to her as “some sort of blush-wielding, mascara-applying, hair pin-pinning wizard,” and I still stand by this (what she does is pretty magic). Read on to discover how this bossbabe is handling lockdown, including whats on her quaratine reading list and why she’s so delighted to see a Hobnob again…

#1 Provide us with three words that sum-up how you were feeling about lockdown when it first started, and then three words about how you feel now:

Before: “Heartbroken, scared, anxious.”

After: “Positive, grateful, brighter.”

#2 What time do you get up? Has this changed? Is life a little slower? Talk to us about your new daily routine…

“I have a little 10 month old baby so our day hasn’t changed that much. We get up around 7ish, breakfast, walk, and while she naps – usually for a couple of hours – that’s my time to get work done. I’ve been practising new hair-styling techniques using an Ulyana Aster online course as well as making Insta vids (something I’ve been meaning to do for ages and have always been scared of/talked myself out of) but lockdown has forced me to show my face more on Instagram and it’s not been that bad at all! I’m actually quite enjoying making them. In the afternoon we sometimes walk again or we’ve been playing in the garden, and doing the odd Joe Wicks work out.”

#3 How is lockdown impacting your business, and how can people support you?

“Lockdown has meant my business can’t operate at the moment until restrictions are lifted. You could show your support by following my Instagram (here) and liking and sharing my posts! That way I’m still getting out there and people are seeing my work.”

#4 Name three local businesses you are supporting or would like to support more…

No.2 Alabaster Dream
