I was recently invited to stay at the rather lovely The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne, a 19th century, 5 Star Hotel and wedding venue situated on the coast in Sussex.

As you’ll already know (if you’re not new here) Bridal Editor predominantly focuses on bridal fashion (we’re talking wedding dresses, accessories, shoes, jewellery – you name it) however, when a wedding venue gets in touch that fits the Bridal Editor aesthetic, I’m immediately intrigued. This coastal wedding venue’s grand white facade (very on brand for Bridal Editor) instantly struck a chord with me. And, it’s this beautiful white facade that – according to the hotel’s website – is the reason why it’s “affectionately known as The White Palace” – which I love. Imagine not only shooting a bridal editorial against those white walls, but your wedding, 2025 bride!
Inside, the hotel’s enchanting decor, warm and welcoming staff and The Grand’s unique wedding offering for couples looking to tie the knot within its architecturally stunning walls awaits. With designated parking (no parking stress here) and friendly staff, from arrival to departure your time at The Grand Hotel Eastbourne will not only be a truly enjoyable one, but an effortless one too.
For couples looking to exchange vows in the midst of this exclusive wedding venue, not only is there room for all of your friends and family to stay (and perhaps a girlie night before – the spa and health club downstairs will make sure you’re all fully pampered pre-wedding) but the hotel’s exclusive suites will knock your socks off. For our nights stay we were thrilled to stay in the hotel’s luxurious Debussy Suite (named after Debussy composed his symphony ‘La Mer’ in 1905 in the room). With it’s elegant decor, large lounge, spacious bathroom (equipped with a dreamy roll top bath and Molton Brown minis) and newly-wed-ready balcony (it’s definitely where you’d want to toast your nuptials together, champagne bucket in tow), this really is a suite to remember.
After an evening well spent delighting in the Hotel’s Mirabelle Restaurant’s enchanting dishes (which FYI, offers up the most romantic setting for couples to dine within) and a night of soundless sleep, it was time to discover the wedding venue’s ceremony and reception rooms. For me, the glittering jewel in The Grand Hotel Eastbourne’s crown is the hotel’s breathtaking Compton Room. I’d already spied a truly enchanting ceiling on the hotel’s Instagram account before my stay and couldn’t wait to see this in person. And, BOY, did it not disappoint. It’s the perfect room to wow your guests with, brides. And, with the wedding venue’s bespoke packages in tow (as Events Office Manager, Lottie explained – they can cater for pretty much anything, be it a small intimate celebration or something larger) it’s a location you really should have on your ‘to visit’ UK wedding venue list.
